On July 8, 2024, a networking event was organized to facilitate the integration into the community of Dr. Shashwati Sen Yeram, a researcher and director of the Crystal Technology Division at the Homi Bhabha National Institute in Mumbai, India. Dr. Shashwati Sen Yeram led a fascinating discussion on the growth and characterization of single crystals, placing particular emphasis on their applications in radiation detection. Her expertise and contributions in this field enriched the knowledge of all participants and created opportunities for the exchange of ideas, thereby contributing to her integration into the physics community in the Western region.
