In the first year of implementation of the project “Center for Counseling and Guidance in Research Careers – Western Region” (CeCOCe-Vest), funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Component 9: Support for the private sector, research, development, and innovation, Investment I10 “Establishment and financial support of a national network of eight regional career guidance centers as part of the ERA TALENT PLATFORM”), multiple experience exchange internships took place at other regional research career guidance centers, as well as exchanges of good practices.

Exchange of Experience

As part of the project, part of the CeCOCe-Vest team visited various regional centers for research career guidance, including:

  • Northwest Regional Career Guidance Center for Researchers (UBB-Core) in Cluj-Napoca
  • Research Career Guidance Center – Central Region in Sibiu
  • Research Career Guidance Center – Bucharest-Ilfov region
  • South-East Regional Center for Research Career Guidance – Ad Augusta in Constanța

These exchanges of experience were intended to facilitate the transfer of good practices and promote the activities of the centers in order to increase the efficiency and impact of the projects.

Visits and Collaborations

In addition to the trips made by the CeCOCe-Vest team, the Center hosted colleagues from other national centers, including teams from:

  • Research Career Guidance Center – Bucharest-Ilfov region
  • Northwest Regional Career Guidance Center for Researchers (UBB-Core)
  • The Center for Guidance, Association, and Counseling in Research Careers for the Northeast Development Region of Romania.

Online meetings and exchange of best practices

The network of eight centers is in constant contact through online meetings, during which the implementation of the project is discussed, thus facilitating the exchange of best practices and promoting the activities of each center.

The first year of the projects in the national network of centers was marked by numerous collaboration and experience-sharing initiatives aimed at strengthening the network and improving career guidance for researchers. These efforts contribute significantly to achieving the objectives of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, supporting the development of the private sector, research, development, and innovation in Romania.
